天宝欢相聚；巍巍乎，三山珍岩竞比高，五岳甘泉争流低。汇精工之
巧匠，倾满国之物力，雕青石之龙腾，塑白玉之凤仪。掘土为湖，游
锦鲤之珍稀；填坑为山，走鹿鸟之鸣啼。大型建筑，飞檐翘璧，包罗
万象，收藏珍奇；微观胜景，囊括八极，奇花异草，灿然无比。举目
山南，亭亭芙蕖，放眼水西，娓娓枫语；徜徉烟霞，氤氤露雨，徘徊
路桥，幽幽词曲。家珍贡献于此，为传后裔；国宝荟萃于斯，为承先

                      --写于圆明园为英法焚掠一百五十年来临之
际

  为强盗洗劫一百五十年矣！为魑魅焚烧一个半世纪矣！东望残垣，
斑斑劣迹，北观垛堞，坍坍创痍；西瞻亭台，块块石砾，南顾殿阁，
碎碎琉璃。满目蒿荒，遍地狼籍，冤魂夜出，切齿之记。惟残留之拱
门，诉禽兽之掠夺，证列强之攫取；只瘫卧之雕塑，哭残破之龙蟠，
悲裂痕之虎踞。茕茕孑身，惑然长涕，零零散伏，凄然短吁。盖夫咸
丰十年，魍魉劫掠之焚；庚子之岁，八国肆虐之驱。夫如今之所见，
仅乃万分之一：长春园之一瞥，西洋楼之断壁。至夫浩大规模，御苑
禁地，倾国宝藏，绝品奇异，尽为蛮夷纷争，皆为付之一炬。尔乎览
西夷之凶残，怒火亢激，想炎黄之善良，礼智仁义。恨不能手刃豺
狼，更愈将猎食熊罴。怅园囿之荒芜，痛京兆之废墟；怀沙场之马
革，震雄威而前敌。战火欲灭中华，由来已久矣；喧嚣岂阻华夏，与
